Access to ADABAS Now Possible with GENESIS

CAMPBELL, California, July 15, 1997 -- Trifox Inc., announces the beta release of the GENESIS ADABAS C native driver.

Trifox' GENESIS product provides SQL access to legacy and flat file datbases such as ISAM, Micro Focus, SDMS, and others. With the addition of the ADABAS C native driver, ADABAS C users can now use SQL to access their existing ADABAS C databases without using Software AG's ESQ product. This new access greatly reduces the memory and CPU consumption required to use the most popular DBMS access and reporting tools against ADABAS C.

Known for its extremely high performance, ADABAS C is the perfect choice for OLTP applications. And with the new ADABAS C native driver, users do not have to lose this performance just to get good tools. In addition, ADABAS C users can now use the entire VORTEX and TRIM product lines, including the VORTEX C & COBOL precompilers, VORTEX++ - a C++ class library, VORTEXjdbc, VORTEX Java Edition, VORTEXperl, and more.

"The GENESIS ADABAS C driver provides a simple, inexpensive, and high-performance solution to users who want the blazing speed of ADABAS C and also want the convenience and ease of SQL access," reports Paul Dembry, Trifox Senior Software Engineer. "In addition, this solution is simple to install and requires very little maintenance."
